An information security management system (ISMS) is a set of policies concerned with information security management or IT related risks. KDDI Hong Kong has adopted the ISO/IEC 27001:2005, it formally specifies a management system that is intended to bring information security under explicit management control.
ISO/IEC 27001:2005
KDDI Hong Kong had acquired ISO/IEC 27001:2005 since February 2008. The scope of the ISO 27001 certification is centered on the Data Centre and Global Network supported by a 24 hour operational Network Operating Centre located in our data center. The certification demonstrates that KDDI Hong Kong had taken appropriate actions to comply with best practice in risk management with regards to information assets and security.
ISO/IEC 27001:2005 is an Information Security Management System (ISMS) standard published in October 2005 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electro technical Commission (IEC). It is an international standard of an effective Information Security Management System for an organization to protect information property. It becomes possible to make risks, such as not only disclosure of the information property by a dishonest act but a loss of the information property by a natural disaster, into the minimum, and to maintain business continuity.
